ADRENALINE #1

December 16th 2019 - February 19th 2020.

25 KENT AVE WALLPLAY, BROOKYN, NY.

Adrenaline is a collaborative work project developed by ACPW ART FACTORY, four artists who have transitioned from Cuba to the United States within the last five years. With generous support from Cuban Artists Fund we are currently preparing the experimental process of artistic intervention of one of the wonderful spaces of Wall Play at 25 Kent. A popular market place in an area that has become important in the middle of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A building designed for thinkers, makers, and doers, open makerspace, with beautiful views of the city of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The open spaces of the large rooms on the ground floor presuppose the nature of the project focused on the use of this empty space and the light that inhabits them. The environments will become mobile throughout the show season. Light as a fundamental element will allow the view of two different scenarios, that of natural daylight and that of artificial light at night. Adrenaline is a symbolic action on the limits of time in a big space. Working under pressure creates a new way of facing space. It is a test of the skills within the field of art itself.

"Adrenaline" is beyond an exhibition. It is an experience, an audacious attitude, a work in constant change, a challenge under pressure, a symbolic action with a limited time in a suggestive space. This attitude is a risky way of facing the space, since the experience of interacting with it determines the final result.
